Loose switch on Contax G2

hi all! i got this "problem" on my contax g2. the on/off switcher doesn't "click" anymore, it is loose and it doesn't stop in place when i switch from off to on and AEL. Has anyone ever got this issue? the body is still under warranty but i have a trip in program for november... probably i will send it to repair when i come back, but if anyone knows how to quickly fix it i would be a happy baby! thanks in advance!

Call Tocad if you're in the US, they can likely turn it around quickly for you.

This will often merely be a loose screw - if you dare open the top (and have a set of good precision screwdrivers and a clean workplace where you won't lose any tiny parts), it is well within DIY limits.

if it's small repair, don't go to ToCAd. They have a flat g2/G1 repair fee $175. It also takes them 4-6weeks to get it fixed. I think it might be a loose screw. If you not dare to open the top, take it to a local camera clinic. it should cost but a little.
