Lost eyepiece ring

I received my new ZI yesterday and love it but within thirty minutes I had lost the rubber ring around the eyepiece. I remembered reading something about this on the forum but searching i did'nt find the thread. I don't remember whether there was any glass in the piece or whether it was just a metal and rubber ring. Is there any glass to keep dirt out? It seems as if there is a replacement by using a nikon FM ring. Is this correct? :bang:

I recall seeing the replacement info too. For some reason, I think Tony Rose is your source to contact.

Yes, there is glass in the ring. And yes, it is the same as the Nikon FM ring.

If I were you, I would contact your dealer & try to have them replace it under warranty.

Thanks! I just dropped Tony Rose a line. I don't mind purchasing one as I see it was my fault.

I thought mine (Voigtlander) was a plain ring.

But then I lost it and the replacement was glass.

Very expensive.
