Lots of interesting announcement rumored for mid Oct

I hope that the Sony NEX9 implementation of full frame allows continued use of APS-C lenses, even at reduced megapixels, a la the Nikon D700 and others.

My head is spinning spinning. Thought the X70 was going to be an X100 with no VF and a slower (smaller) lens.
Now it (is called the XQ1 and) has a 2/3" sensor.
I am going to put my head down and wait for the offical announcement.

What about a digital BW body? That would be more interesting than FF for me. Or is Leica the only one who is brave enough? Of course they can charge a premium price, so that reduces their risk.

Cheers,
Kirk

Plus 1. Especially if it was a Fuji xp1 or xe1 based camera.

So they're going to announce cameras that will ship next Summer so that you won't buy their competitors' models next week.

Anything that drives prices down on soon to be obsolete old cameras is great though ;-)

Xe2 w/ more interesting features the the new x100s or a pocketable camera from sigma or fuji using at least a m43 size would get my attention

I have just ordered a V1 with 10 and 18.5 lenses, so temporarily my 'need' for a new mirror-less camera has been fulfilled. But I make it clear to my wife that this indeed may be only a temporal solution :)

Well if this rumor update is true, I am soooo disappointed.

1 inch sensor w/ a 24-200 fixed lens... I was so hoping for an apsc sensor w/ a short zoom or fixed 35""

Yeah, me too. AND the thing is supposedly the same size as this:

It's ok though... I don;t really need a new camera. :)
