ywenz, in regards to your post: " Doesn't the forum community get de-sensitized with each new happy birthday thread? Everyday, it's someone's birthday." ... i guess folks could get de-sensitized with each new happy birthday thread and yes, it is pretty much someone's birthday everday.
i would like to think those threads are a way of celebrating life.
it's a way of telling someone you have gottten to know through the forum or even a complete stranger here that they are part of the "family" here. wishing them a happy birthday is a simple gift , a nice thing to do.
🙂
for some people, divorce, death(s) in the family, estrangement from their families and other circumstances leave some folks "stuck out" and largely on their own. a birthday message to them probably won't change the situation they are in, but it might give them a good feeling to know someone thought about them and put it into words.
🙂
...and with that said:
happy birthday to : sbug, thorirv (36)
😀 😛 😀
hope you get to catch some light on some film ( some media/etc) in some camera sometime today!!
(seems as tho' the thread for yesterday's b'day gang has somehow slipped off into the bermuda triangle of lost/deleted/??? items...hmm)
