Love it. Hate it.

This site is now really tough to read. My office LCD monitor is set up for working photos, and reading through these posts really strained my eyes. I gave up about halfway.
 
Love the site.... real quick...my eyes are starting to hurt a little even with the white font. Shouldn't complain thanks for doing a great job.
 
Thanks for adding the black text on white background option. I find that version to be much easier on the eyes than anything with the black background. Speed is fabulous!:D:D
 
I find the light text on dark background very difficult on the eyes- as well one has a very difficult time finding ones cursor or text postion with this theme. I'd hope for an option to have a dark text on light background again.

Ah it is there! Much better.
 
I love it!! Very cool.

My only complaint is that the color of the font for the messages should match the quick reply font color.

I find I am straining to see the letters. :eek:
 
Wow, I tried the various options and become frustrated because there was no black-on-white option (I hate anything-on-black looks), and was just about to post something like "Please add a black-on-white option soon" when bingo - it suddenly turned black-on-white. Now that's what I call service :D

It's a lot faster too, which is great.
 
Ya.. definitely the Hex Cell Xpand skin is the easiest to read.
Blue on Blue-Black - ya.. that was a brilliant idea...:rolleyes:

I can read the black on white well enough. I used to really like the previous white on dark gray ... was restful on the eyes for browsing and invited you to stick around. And photographs look so good against a dark background.

Now RFF looks like just another site. Oh well.

Big thumbs up on the speed and performance. Thumbs down on color options.
 
I find the "Hex Cell" theme is perfectly legible (black text on white background).

The dark themes are extremely difficult for my -7 diopter eyes to read, though. I bet you could make everyone happy if you changed the "White Font" theme so the font is, in fact, white (as opposed to dull grey). I imagine that lots of people find the "dull grey on duller grey" color scheme to be hard to see.
 
Oh geez... it looks just fine and is as easy to read as the old site. It's hardly different - look-wise, at all. My God.
 
I would like to say "thanks" for the adding the Graphite Xpand- White Font color scheme to the available mix. I find it much easier to see, being an old guy and everything

Also, I have noticed a huge increase in speed from the site.

All in all, well done.
 
Give me access to a basic CSS skeleton for the forum and I'll make a skin that's similar to the old one. Unless it's in the works already, that is.
 
The old color scheme was classic. It was invisible in its excellence. People hardly ever mentioned it. Like a rangefinder camera that drew no attention to itself and let the content speak for itself.
