Low light focus problems with EP 1

I have read of focus hunting in low light with the EP 1 , also of the screen being of poor resolution for manual lenses .
Do you find this to be so ?
Frankly , I mostly want to use my Leica fit lenses some of which seem not to align focus with my M8 . [ and I am not sure about taking the Leica out around town when working ]

Sorry, Don't have an EP-1, but my EP-2 works great in low light. I use the external EVF, though.

I ain't got problems either (E-P1), but if I would have to decide again, I would buy an EPL1, or even a Pana since you get a dedicated button to activate the focus zoom.

I have a this kind of problem with my E-P1,
If target is not move, i take few shot of that, but different focusing. I believe that E-P2 doesn´t have any problem cos that have good EVF

Oly m43 bodies have no lowlight AF-assist beams, so they hunt more and don't focus very quickly in low light. The Pany bodies do have AF-assist, and I find they focus much better in low light.

The Oly LCD screens have half the resolution of most of the Pany LCD screens (230k pixels vs 460k). The Oly accessory EVF is great, much better than the Pany accy EVF, but the EP1 can't use the Oly EVF.

I find the Pany GF1 w/EVF to be a much better lowlight shooter than the EP1, or even the EP2 w/EVF. YMMV....

I use an E-P1 and find the screen fine for focussing even with legendary hard to focus lenses like the Noctilux - I am sure higher resolution would be better but not sure by how much.

As for AF I only have the 17mm and focus seems fine on that in low light

Thanks everyone , but I chose the G1 for prefered handling and the viewfinder , which , even flickering [ ! ] is more natural for me .
