I've got a good one today. I have a 135/4.5 Hector LTM, chrome with leather. The only filters I've been able to find are the slip on or clamp on types in 36mm. I'm looking for a screw on UV or SKY to fit. The size appears to be 34.5mm more or less and after a year of looking I can't find one. Also after talking with several dealers and collectors, I was informend that they don't exist. Now, I know Leitz plans every thing quite well and with a purpose.
Why would there be threads on the barrel designed to hold a screw on filter for the lens if they didn't provide those filters? Could this have been a major oversight for Leitz? I should hardly think not.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It is a 34mm screw in filter. You might look in the Video accessory section. The 34mm filter size was revived. I just bought 3 lens caps for $1 each, new.

I bought a couple of 34mm UV filters last year... I think they were either Tiffen or Hoya, and I believe I got them from KEH.

Will dig around in my bags and have a look.

(PS: the threads up front might be there more for manufacturing purposes of having a thread-in ring to retain to the front lens element than simply as a convenince of mounting filters, hoods, etc. )

Just checked my LTM user kit...

The filter on my Hektor is a new Tiffen UVP 34mm.

I can't remember exactly where it came from, but I'm pretty sure I ordered it on-line, probably from either KEH in Georgia or B&H Photo in New York City.

If you Google for "Hoya" and "Tiffen", you should be able to get the mfr's website, product info, and distributor information.

I need to get a couple more 34mm UV filters myself...
