Leica LTM LTM wide angle recommendations

I had a Canon FL 19mm F3.5 with Canon Adapter B, which I was really fond of. Was my replacement for the 21mm Super Angulon. Very cost effective.
 
I vouch for the Canon 19/3.5. It does not have to be the (costly) RF version. With Canon Adapter B, the non-RF coupled 19mm/3.5 works very well for me.
 
There is also a Rokkor 21/4 that can be used on LTM bodies with the right adapter (Rokkor-ltm). This is also a very good lens. I have posted about it here in past years.

My widest RF lens has been for many years a 28mm lens. I used wider SLR lenses with adapters on my M3 and M6 cameras until very recently when I bought a 16mm RF lens. The very wide lenses offer nice alternatives to using 35-50 lenses once in a while.
 
I like to think of a lens as being part of a system. So if starting with only a 50mm, a good three-lens system could be 25-35-50. Since the 25mm is desired right way, you could start with that and fill in with a 35mm later, since it is such a useful focal length. Going from 25 to 50 with nothing in between leaves a gap in the middle, but it could be a good way to have the extreme covered until the gap can be filled.
 
Yes, the CV 25/4 ltm is a gem at a low cost. In fact, if you want a tiny lens combo for some trip, use a 50mm lens plus the CV 25/4 and you are covered.
 
A long time ago, one of our members gave advice on choosing lenses for traveling light. (Newspaperguy?) Choose double or half focal lengths. So for me it might be 25, 50, 100 or lighter, 35, 75.

It should fit, but I used it with FD lenses. Google Canon Adapter B. I use Canon FD 17/4 on Leica M bodies with this adapter.

I just grabbed a Canon B adapter... I have some FL / FD Canon lenses
(nothing as wide as you have spoken of, but that may soon change.).

The FD 17/4 is a near rectilinear lens, and there is no observed distortion. It is larger than a RF wide angle lens, but it gives superb results.
The Canon FD 24/2.8 is also a great lens to explore this way.

They often sell for $75-$125 on ebay. Not everybody sees the potential uses for RF cameras.
