It showed up recently on Aliexpress for about € 42,- per rol of bulk film. A fellow Dutchman who bought the film was so kind to send me a filled cartridge with 36+ exposures.

SHD-50 on Aliexpress

There is no technical datasheet of this film available (yet) with indications for developers and their times/dilutions. The first developers we tried were Rodinal and Caffenol. The film did not seem to match the box speed at al. The sensitivity is much lower. When using normal developers and dilutions, the film fogs easily. It out to be a microfilm (or duplicate film) that requires a special treatment to be used for photography.

Rating the film at 6 ISO (9 DIN) gave the best density so far developed in Adox FX-39 1+19 5:30 min at 20 degrees. The film is sensitive to red light (panchromatic). The undeveloped film looks very thin, which made me think about the anti halo layer. The film seems to handle heavy backlight pretty well.

Special developers like Adox Adotech IV and Spur Nanotech UR seem to be developed especially for this kind of film. I might try them next to see if they increase the sensitivity to match the box speed.

Thoughts about how to develop this film are greatly appreciated.

Those negatives look great! I can't wait to try it myself.
I actually went and bought a bulk roll myself a week ago because it's cheap and why not.
I've yet to shoot any but do you think I should pick a time for similarly 6 iso rated film if I'm developing it in Hc-110?
I'm relatively new to developing but I'm excited to check this film out.

I shot some Lucky a long time ago and thought whatever speed it was just pretend it’s a lot slower! The 120 rolls I shot had defective backing paper so I avoided it ever since, It was bad luck.

Used Lucky films many years ago……. The bad film ever used. Quality control production was poor. I found film with scratches. And many other problems.

In this case they may not even have produced this film themselves. But, bought a master roll somewhere else to cut and perforate it. It could be a microfilm from Orwo (filomtec) or Agfa Belgium for example.

Lucky did releasesd a microfilm. It is ISO50 and really cheap, about $23 per 100ft. But like most of microfilm, Lucky's new product is un-perf. So I think microfilm and SHD50 are the same thing.Due to Lucky's CEO showed the microfilm during NPC in this year, I think they coated by themselves.
