Luigi case from Leicatime

Thanks regit! I finally figured out how to get in touch w/him and I ordered a black half case for an M6. One of the new "machine sewn" styles.

And Jorge--of course we mention RFF! Free shipping...save 18 bux!!!

Thanks for getting him as a sponsor...

Ferider, what camera are you using with the case that has the built in grip?

I am with Luigi now and believe me, he is so proud and happy to hear all these kind words that have been so generously said about his leather creations. He is so delighted that he can't keep his hands to himself right now. He told me that he's planning a special limited edition baby-blue elephant calf leather case impressed with 'M7' in cubic zirconia to celebrate this happy occasion

I don't know why no one hasn't posted a photo yet - isn't it tradition? - of their Luigi case. So I thought I'd better ;-)

I bought this brown/burgundy case when they were first offered so have been using it for I think its been 6 or 7 years, looks very 'hand-aged' now. It actually 'improves the grip on an M-series', that statement says something. Adds a bid of protection, especially if you have 2 cameras hanging on your body in some configuration, looks nice, and doesn't bulk-up the camera either. Film changing is a bit slower of course, and if I use the self-timer needs to come off, but then I need to get to the tripod socket usually then also. Personally I wouldn't get the 'hand-grip' model, adds too much and not needed.

I do like the straight two tone army green and burgundy strap that I bought from Artistsan & Artist in Japan ( no metal, body protector lug ring pieces, and ideal for me as its longer, and makes a quite beautiful combo I think.

I bought one for my Zeiss Ikon. It's a wonderful accessory. Lots of attention to detail. Excellent workmanship. A bit on the pricey side but worth every dollar, if you can afford it.

I love my case for my M3.

Now waiting for a case for my III.

I've decided my next major purchase is going to be one of his cases for my Canon 7. With neckstrap using the clips and a couple of those film holders it's going to be an expensive splurg, but once I get the money together, I think it'll be a good investment as I intend to keep this camera a very long time.

Yep Roland, the M3 looks right at home with that Canon 1.2 , nice looking camera/case combo ;-)

And another yep Joe, I take it the P is still using up film on a regular schedule.

Best,

Greg

Nuts! I shouldn't have clicked on this thread. First I saw Luigi's GREAT half case (which I have always wanted), then I justified that I don't need one because it wouldn't fit an M3 with my new Canon f/1.2 lens. And now I see Roland posting pictures of what my rig would look like with the exact same camera, case, and lens combo. Aaarrrggghh!!!
Maybe I can drop some hints to my wife for my birthday present in March, LOL!

Gotta go earn some more money....

Tell me about it joe, I ordered my case today... brown half case with the grip, a deluxe neck strap and two film holders. My wallet is still wimpering but I just couldn't resist after seeing these pictures.

Thanks for the welcome Joe. I've been looking in on the forum here and have to say that its a friendly group of happy rangefinder users. Nice to see people getting a charge out of their cameras and showing it all in good fun.

Roland, I did notice your hood, but not the custom job. I had a 1.2 for awhile and using it with a hood was imposible without major viewfinder blockage, wish I could get a peek through yours and see how it works.

Cheers,

Got the M6 Luigi case today. One week! It's a beauty---everything the RFFers said it would be. The leather fragrance is so good I almost don't want to take it out of the plastic wrap! Fits like the proverbial glove..thanks for the tip everyone!
