I am pretty sure I'm going to buy a luigi strap. However, I haven't decided to go for a strap with a shoulder pad or without a shoulder pad. Does anyone out there have a luigi strap without a shoulder pad? My reason for no pad is sometimes I wrap around the wrist and I think the shoulder pad would get in the way. Also, any advice on whether to get the 12mm width or the 15mm width? thanks in advance

It doesn't get in the way too much, they are really soft. I wrap mine around my wrist when shooting.

Ditto for me. Plus it keeps the two parts of the strap together.

I personally met Luigi (very nice person!) and bought four of them. All without pad and 15 mm. I hate pads on the camera straps. They are disturbing and take too much real estate in the camera bag. But this is personal taste.
What conts is that I love those straps and I am happy I spent the money. The red fox on a black Nikon F is a joy to look at. Sooner or later I will by more of them. I only shy to substitute the original strap the camera was shipped by the factory with. But in all other cases there is no comparison even with good brand nylon and plastic ones
