My copy arrived late this afternoon. Everything about his book is very high quality IMHO. Kudos to the photographers, Rich, Ralph, Gene, and Jorge. Very nicely done.

Thanks Don,
Are you going for Book 2?
I'd love to see the next 25's pics in print!

I signed up for Book 2, but my Bessa L/CV21 rig isn't a rangefinder and the meters in my Hi-Matic and Yashica Electro are wacky lately, so I have to consider alternatives. If anyone wants me to exercise an unused rangefinder for a couple months... that's how long it takes me to make a decent image... heh heh heh.
On a related note, I showed the RFF book to a friend this morning while we had breakfast at a local cafe. A young guy at a nearby table overheard "rangefinder" and turned around with a Minolta CLE in his hands! He looked at my Bessa L/21 while I looked at his CLE, the first time I held one. Sweet! He was very impressed with the book and said he'll look up the book and RFF.
Finally, I talked to a lot of rangefinder folks yesterday at the antiwar demo in Chicago, Leica folks mainly. Yah, yah, it's just a tool but running into rangefinder users gives me a nice little buzz. Guess I better save some dough and get one of them CLE's or P's or Bessa rigs.

Bummer RML. Looks like we can't make the switch this time. Maybe when Volume II comes out

I'll try to have my wife convinced of the need to go to the US by the time book 2 appears.
As it is, she'll probably be in LA in early August, attending 25th World Congress of Poets. I won't be able to go there. We've calculated her trip will already cost a total of $3000-3500... my savings for my R-D1.

I received mine today. Very nice!
Thanks again to Richard who started it all, all the contributors, and particularly to Gene and Ralph who finally put it all together.
You're great!

AAAARRRGGGHHH!!
Will I be the last to get my book?! Ordered on March 2 and still I don't have it! I'm getting tired of constantly having my expexctations built up over the day, just to have them shattered when I get home and don't find the book there, or even a notice from the mailman....

AAAARRGGHH!!!
Damn all your souls!
But seriously, still no book.
I asked lulu.com
The book was shipped on March 7, and according to them should arrive on March 21, after 10 working days.
Today is March 22, a day late according to their calculations.
But I distinctly remember reading it would take 4-8 working days for the book to arrive, or am I mistaken?
Anyway, it better gets here soon or I'll have to wait for next week because of Easter....
