Lulu is shipping "The Book"

Well Remy, real truth is...

...that dressing a Leica M in pink and then in gold had to have some punishment :D

The LHSA doesn't forget...

LOL.....I would have never made the link myself, but Oscar does have a point.

Remy, my feelings are with you - I'm waiting every day for the postman to deliver my CL, but no luck so far (it is coming from the Netherlands - coincidence?)

Hehehe, so I wasn't the last one to receive it, after all.... :)

joe, you got yours yet?

Remy,
I'm afraid they sent it to the Mongolia address instead. Maybe the Easter Bunny will bring it in his basket. :D

LHSA...?! Easter Bunny...?! Sent to Mognolia...?!
I didn't know my cover jobs were that blasphemous!

I've recited my mantras a 108 times this morning; I'm calm and relaxed.
The forecast says it'll be a fine sunny warm Spring day.
I'm gonna ignore all your remarks. :)
The book will arrive today.

Go with the flow, Remy.
The journey is more important than where you end up. :)

"the only thing i got was the notice that it was shipped"
..............................
But, of course, they didn't guarentee "where" it was shipping to - :p

Perhaps your copy is on its way to Mongolia too, Joe. :p

MMmmmm...

MMmmmm...

The copies of the book I ordered turned up today :D

Ordered - 3rd March
Shipped - 8th March
Arrived - 23rd March

Sweet, transit time was a day over two weeks from the USA to Western Australia.. that’s about normal for airmail post from the US.

First impressions of the book are .... it kicks ass! Very nice work to everyone involved. The quality of the paper and photos are great. This is better than I had hoped/expected ... after a hot cycle home from work (42C/107F here today) I'm going to leisurely going thru it with a couple of ice cold beers :p

Eagerness made way for annoyance, which made way for anger. Now I'm at the "reluctantly accepting my copy won't come before Easter" phase. The mailman hasn't come today yet, so there's some hope for today. But if it ain't coming today I doubt it'll come tomorrow on Good Friday. And then we get to Easter weekend.... Monday is second day of Easter, so also no mail.... It'll be next week before I see anything of my copy. :(

And I was planning to buy a few more copies this month after I had checked out the book (taking adventage of the free shipping offer)....

RML,

I empathize with you. That truly must be a bummer to have to wait so long. When you finally receive your book it will be a milestone for us all.

Remy,
My fingers are crossed for you today. Once you see it, you'll know it was worth waiting for.
Best of luck ~ ; - )

Thanks, guys! :)

The mailman didn't bring any book today either.
My hope really is on tomorrow or saturday, but I'm not gonna wait for it to appear.

Regarding the book, my colleague Henning Jansen sends us his greetings and congrats for the book, received it a while ago and likes it mucho mucho ;) Great guy as well, you can check some of his work at www.henning-jansen.com. He's also the one who sold me his CV 35 pancake lens, via Plexi :)

OT, I'm on dial-up probably for this all easter as the DSL is down  and took me 2 or 3 hours to locate the almost forgotten modem and a couple more to find valid non-outdated settings for a connection, at least they didn't change the ones I'm using, they date from 2000, that saved me ! :)

So bye, I'm going probably till midnight, hope the book will have climb up another 10 or 20 positions by then :D

Yaaay my book arrived yesterday, and it looks great. Congrats again to all involved!

For some reason they didn't put the country on the address label (Ireland) they just put 'IE'
But it arrived anyway :D
