A solitary Fed 50 / 3.5 collapsible creates lovely images on Emma 8 ,
but none of my late Jupiters . I61 , I61 ld seems 'sharp' when focusing.
There is a fuel sign outside the house which is not quite at infinity [ as shown by my SLRS and Emma 8 / Summitar etc .
Yet these lenses are either at infinity , or further forward etc ...
It seems that they are just not colimated properly .
Can you advise if one I61 can be properly aligned with the M8 ?
I 22s foul the adapter , so my many lenses can't be used .

I've shimmed the I-61 before: it is not hard. The optics module is held in by a retaining ring and one screw in the side of the lens. There is also a "light baffle" in the rear tube that slides out. I made a shim for the lens.

1) take out light baffle, I used some pliers made to sprear apart Cotter pins;
2) unscrew retaining ring, take out the longish screw on the side of the lens;
3) take optics out and thicken the shim "until sharp".

I'll see if i saved the pictures of the procedure.
