M bodies in short supply?

The 'back to film' trend is not broad or mainstream: instead it is driven by a distinct group of younger people frustrated with a single digital means of expressing themselves. And there is the 'cool' factor...you can't be 'cool' carrying a DSLR around since everyone already has an identical one. Whether or not the trend will prevail is anyone's guess.

Let the tulip mania for Leica's begin.

I have observed and purchased various camera bodies over the past couple of years and I have recently noticed a few other camera brands increasing as well albeit, a bit more modestly.

The Leica CL's (yes that lesser M mount) seems to be rarer now than a year or two ago.

It also seems to me (and maybe only me) that the higher quality SLR's from the majors seem to be disappearing and gradually going up in prices i.e. Pentax LX, KX, MX, Olympus OM's, and probably others from Nikon and Canon although I haven't paid as close attention to those.

On a side note, although I don't want to pay higher prices for film I hope this bodes well for the manufacturers of film.
