Hey all,
I'm looking some ideas or suggestions on what I could use to hold bottom plate of my MP and M2 so in case I drop it by accident something holds onto it and it doesn't fall to the floor. I'm guessing you could use something in a Tri-Pod mount but I don't even know what they would be called and I'm curious to see what others do to avoid dropping their bottom plates.
I've dropped mine a few times (onto grass thankfully) but want to avoid dropping them onto other, harder surfaces.

Or just put the baseplate in your pocket while changing film.

The first day using my new M8 I dropped the bottom plate onto the pavement and broke it. A replacement plate was ridiculously expensive so I ended up buying a much cheaper RRS plate bottom. After that whenever I needed to remove the bottom plate for any reason whether to change the battery on the M8 or film for the M7 I always find somewhere to sit or at least a table or some platform. Adding some silly string to the tripod socket and tie it to something like the strap lug is just asking for trouble.
