M-Hexanon 28/2.8 or M-Rokkor 28/2.8?

Haven't used the 28 Rokkor, but the 28 M-Hex is quite a bit better than the Zeiss 28. The M-Hex is a clone of the 8 element Elmarit V4, and sharper than a Summicron 28/2. The build quality of the 28 M-Hex is miles above any CV or Zeiss lens.

I can't say this is accurate scientifically, but I had the same results between my Hex and my Cron 28 - the Hex had sharper edge to edge images in general use. I haven't tested using lens charts or brick walls though, just based on a few images and enlargements to 11x14

Dont know about the Rokkor, but Hex is simply Superb! I use 28mm lens least, and would not sell my 28 Hex .

Selling on RFF : M-Hexanons 50/28/90/flash

Heh. Amazing what gas will do.

Well, you are right - at least I'm selling my Hexanons to pay for another Hexanon 50/1.2. Otherwise, I'd be keeping them, trust me.

The 28 Hex brings up the correct framelines on the M7 and MP. Terrific lens and I use a 3rd party 46mm W hood from eBay's heavystar on mine.

just curious

just curious

Does anyone use the 28 hex without a hood? Issues?

A cool thing about the factory hood is that after screwing in tight, it still has 90 deg rotation, so you don't get a support blocking the vf area.
