Following that thread http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32696

I would like to ask which M-mount or L39-screwmount lenses you bought in what order?

This is my list, in order of appearence: (edited, because I forgot the Russians...)

1. Industar-61 2.8/53 (LTM, sold)
2. Jupiter-12 2.8/35 (LTM, on sale!)
3. Jupiter-8 2.0/50 (LTM)
4. Leitz Summitar 2/5cm (LTM)
5. Leitz Elmar 4/90 (LTM)
6. Leitz Hektor 4.5/135 (M)
7. Jupiter-3 1.5/50 (LTM)
8. Voigtländer Ultron 2.0/28 (M)
9. Voigtländer Super-Wide Heliar 4.5/15 (LTM)
10. Voigtländer Color Skopar 2.5/75 (LTM)
11. Voigtländer Ultron 1.7/35 (LTM)

I guess I'm done now. ;)

only LTM in my case for the IIIf:

1. Leitz Summicron collapsible 50/2
2. Jupiter-12 35/2.8
3. Jupiter 9 85/2
4. Industar 61 l/d 50/2.8
5. Industar-22 50/3.5
6. Voigtländer 25/4

I sold 1,2,3 and currently use the 25mm 90% of the time. A modern 35mm lens is all I'd like to add and maybe a Leica Standard body for the uncoupled 25mm Skopar.

Interesting memory challenge ... What's more interesting for me is not only what order I bought lenses in, but what camera did I intend to use them on ...

Color Skopar 50mm f/2.5 (for the M4-2)
Ultron 28mm f/2 (for the GXR)
Nokton 40mm f/1.4 (for the GXR)
Color Skopar 35mm f/2.5 (for the M4-2)
Color Skopar 21mm f/4 (for both GXR and M4-2)
M-Rokkor 90mm f/4 (for both GXR and M4-2)
M-Rokkor 40mm f/2 (for the CL)
Hektor 135mm f/4.5 (gift) (for all)
Color Skopar 28mm f/3.5 (for the GXR)
Nokton 50mm f/1.5 ASPH (for the M9)

and then the question is, what lenses get used in reality with what bodies. In order of common use:

M9 - Nokton 50, M-Rokkor 90, Color Skopar 35, Ultron 28, Hektor 135
GXR - Nokton 40, Color Skopar 21, Color Skopar 28, M-Rokkor 90, Hektor 135
M4-2 - Color Skopar 50, Color Skopar 35, Color Skopar 21
CL - M-Rokkor 40, M-Rokkor 90, Color Skopar 21

(Seeing them all together, sheesh, that's a lot of equipment ... So much for the purist "one camera, one lens" aesthetic ... =8^\)

... can remember my camera road map but not my lenses. I know what I have but not exactly the order.
The very first however was a 2/90 'cron and I only ever sold one M lens a 2.8/28 Elmarit, which I never started to like.

1. Canon 50mm f1.8
2. Canon 50mm f1.5
3. Canon 35mm f1.8
4. Nikon 50mm f1.4
5. Nikon 50mm f1.4 (it was for a friend who changed his mind, jerk)
6. Zeiss 50mm f1.5 + Amedeo Adapter
7. Leica Summaron 35mm f2.8
8. Leica Elmarit 90mm f2.8

I'm trimming down: keeping the last three and selling the rest (or they have been sold). I look into adding a collapsible and DR cron and then I think I will be happy forever :)

1. Bought Zeiss M 25mm f/2.8
2. Bought Zeiss Contax G 28mm f/2.8 for M
3. Sold Zeiss M 25mm f/2.8
4. Bought Zeiss Contax G 90mm f/2.8 for M
5. Bought Jupiter 50mm f/2
6. To save up for: Zeiss Contax G 45mm f/2

FWIW, after five, I purchase an R8 with Leica 50mm. I also started with a Bessa, now I have an M6 TTL 0.58x.

1. Color Skopar 28/3.5 as my first RF lens
2. Color Skopar 50/2.5
3. Ultra Wide Heliar 15/4.5
4. Elmar-M 90/4
5. Nokton 50/1.5

All used on Hexar RF and Bessa-L respectively. Most used are the tiny #1 & 2

When I started in 1969, decent wide-angles -- for that matter, mediocre ones too, and most old wide-agles are pretty mediocre -- were out of my reach. After the 5cm f/3,5 came a 9cm f/4 and a 13,5cm f/4,5, though I also tried faster 5cm lenses: Summar, Xenon.

Then in about 1980 I bought a 3.5cm f/1,4. It was stolen 18 months later so I replaced it with a new one, my first ever new Leica lens. That one jammed the first time I tried it on the camera and (after some rather heated prompting) Leica sent me another. I'm still using it.

Cheers,

R.

I've had way too many and eventually got rid of all but one...
Here's the list as chronologically accurate as I can remember:

Canon 35mm f/2.8 (Heavy chrome)
Leica 90mm Elmar (Early M mount)
Leica 135mm Hektor M

Canon 50mm f/1.4
Leica DR Summicron
Kobalux 28mm f/3.5
Nikkor 10.5cm f/2.5

CV 15mm Heliar LTM
CV 35mm f/1.7
Canon 35mm f/2
CV 28mm f/1.9
Leica 50mm Rigid Summicron x2
Zeiss Biogon 21mm f/2.8 ZM

Leica 3.5cm f/3.5 Summaron
Leica Schneider 21mm f/3.4 Super Angulon
Konica 35mm f/2 UC Hexanon

Leica 5cm f/3.5 Elmar
Leica 5cm f/2.8 Elmar

Jupiter-8 50mm f/2
Leica 90mm f/2.8 Tele-Elmarit, thin
Leica 35mm f/1.4 V2 Summilux, early with infinity lock.
Leica Schneider 21mm f/3.4 Super Angulon

Komura 135mm f/2.8
Jupiter-12 35mm f/2.8

I think that's it but there might be a 50mm missing from the list. The divisions are there to denote different "eras" of my shooting. These days all of the lenses except my DR Summicron have been sold. That stays with my M4 forever.

I've only sold the Rokkor 28mm and have settled into the ZM Sonnar on the MP for the time being. I have enjoyed shooting with all of them but am drawn to the frames shot with the old 50s.
