M-mount Adapter

I have recently purchased my first M2+ 50m Summicron, I would
like to add VC Color Skopar 35mm to my kit which requires M-mount adapter my question is the adapter left on the lens or removed when changing lens

Left on the lens is MUCH easier.

There are three models, one each for 25/35/135, 28/90 and 50/75. If any one of these focal lengths is marked on the adapter, it will call up whichever frames the camera offers. I include 25 for the Snapshot Skopar in LTM.
