When you use an M mount lens with the fuji adapter, does it give you parallax corrected framelines for your focal length in OVF mode, for times when you want to scale focus?
No. The only thing the Fuji adapter does that cheaper adapters don't is provide instant access to the menu features regarding lens characteristic corrections like distortion and vignetting. When you use non-fuji adapters, you have to do these adjustments by scrolling down through the menus. There is no way for any adapter to know the distance you've focused a manual focus lens. The OVF framelines only move when using the Fuji lenses.
The are two custom frame locations where u can set for a specific lens, the other locations are for fixed lens values such as 28 and 35. All lens positions have the capability for correction of distortion, aberrations, etc just like the Ricoh gxr when the a12 module is used.. But the correction capability is only allowed w/ their own m mount module. When third party adapters are used, then only the lens value can be used. This will change the frame line accordingly.
I do not have camera in front of me right now w/ adapter. Cannot remember about the correct frame line, in terms of at least showing u a static setup like some of the old fixed rf of the 60s, but most definitely it cannot do the normally dynamic frame line where it moves based on the focus distance because there is no way for the distance info to be sent to the camera body.
The Fuji adapter doesn't give you dynamic framelines, but there's a white frameline for infinity and a blue frameline for <2m. I don't think that feature is exclusive to the Fuji adapter though.
