M-Rokkor problem?

I just recieved an M-Rokkor 40mm lens. It looks great except the plate that holds the words on the front of the lens is loose and rattles. I dont think this is a big deal. Has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

I Have 2 of them and that part doesn't appear to screw down (no slots to grip it to screw down).

If you have any latex gloves. Check and see if it screws down

Re-checked mine and that ring is close to flush with the ring around it. If the worded part is sitting higher. I guess it screws down

New re-check

On one lens. The thin ring around the outside of the lettered part has slots to tighten it down.

Second lens doesn't have them

One with is a much later model lens which starts with 201 and other 102.

Guessing it does tighten down

Try to tighten with some rubber object - eraser, latex gloves (as Don wrote), etc.

I used a pencil with the eraser end and tightened it. Thanks for the help.
