M strap

What kind of straps do you guys use for your M? At school, the MP i can check out has a sweet Leica strap. I looked all over online and couldnt find anything like it. Any ideas?
Doesn't B&H carry Leica straps? Anyhow, the Domke Gripper is also sweet, and inexpensive.

I tend to prefer leather strap for my M. I use an old Leica leather strap for my M4 black. Otherwise the Artisan and Artist has got some very nice leather straps. Besides, Nikon has also got a fine black leather strap which is in-expensive and suit Leica M a lot.😎

I have an Artisan and Artist "Kobe" leather strap and 1/2 case on my M3, and a Luigi standard 1/2 case and strap on my MP. Both are gorgeous works in leather, and I don't think you could go wrong with either.

When I got my M2, it came with a strap made from neoprene (is that the english word).
I hope you know what I mean. At first I thought, that was the ugliest strap on a classic camera you could get. But the first time I used it i fell in love.
That was by far the best strap I ever have used on any camera.
It makes the camera feel so easy around your neck or shoulder that sometimes you think it got stolen.
It has no brand on it so I don't have a clue who made it.
But anyway I would go for something like that, instead of leather, if you can live with the looks of it.
The backside of the strap is kinda sticky so it really stays on your shoulder.
If I find the time I can post a picture tommorrow.

The best strap for the M bodies is definitely the Upstrap, found at:

http://upstrap-pro.com/

I can walk for miles with my M6 and the Upstrap hanging from my shoulder without it ever falling off. I can even bend my body forward or to the side and the Upstrap successfully clings to my shoulder without failure. Buy it---you'll love it!

I searched the purse isles in thrift stores until I found a sngle-pieced strap in black that has a perfect look with my m6. There are no buckles, or swivels, just a nice clean look. It may not be the best gripper, but I am mindfull of that.

I use narrow Domke Grippers on all my 35MMs and digicams, the ones without the quick release. The Blad gets an Optec (i think it is) because it's heavier.

I like Gordy Coale's straps - decent price - choose the length you prefer at order time. High quality, and thin enough to wrap around my wrist if I want to carry that way. I need to order a few more for some of the secondary bodies I have.

That said - I've been eyeing some of the Artisan and Artists straps recently - Luigi's too.
