M to ltm adaptor for bessa r

Hi

I'm thinking about buying an M lens for my bessa r but can only find adaptors to put m39 lenses onto m bodies. Any help?

Also - will I still have full control and rangefinder coupling while using an m lens on the bessa r

LTM/M39 lenses on M-bayonett based cameras is possible, but the other way round it is not possible.

So either keep the R and stick to LTM-lenses or "upgrade" to an R2,R3,R4..

You cann't use M lenses on LTM bodies, Tom, sorry. M mount has 1mm longer registration distance.

Side note - would a 28mm vc m39 work on it? Would I b able to focus with the rangefinder and just compose with what I had in the viewfinder? As in would it be coupled

The 28/3.5 and 28/1.9 will work (both LTM, both RF coupled). The 28/2 will not work (M-mount). The Bessa R has no 28mm framelines, you might need to estimate (this is easy) or use an external finder.
