M2 licence to funk

Congrats !

Excuse for being blind and/or ignorant: I assume it´s the original lens hood for your ´cron, isn´t it? Was it hard to find?

Thomas

hm, I don't realy know but the dealer said it's a original one.
It wasn't hard to find,
after I got the M2 I needed a old lends to the body,
so I phoned with my favoryt dealer and told him I need a old 50mm 'cron and
a lightmeter (Leica MR) some days later it was in the mail.
Unfortunately he forgot the sunprotector (please what is the correct english word?).
Yesterday I visited him and he gave me this one.
It's realy nice and fits perfect to the camera.

hey martin, that is a very sweet looking M2 w/o the selftimer. my personal favourite m2; now i know why i thought you have exquisite taste🙂 the word is "shade" or "hood" in English.

good cheer, thomas

Very nice, Martin. That looks great. Of course, I'm biased because that's the same one I use with my rigid Cron. Works very well. Also nice in that it reverses and goes back on the lens when one is not shooting. Now you gotta get the cap that goes over the shade when it's in the reversed position and placed back on the lens. Oh, and to prevent possible shutter holes from the sun I also use a snap-cap over the front of the hood when I'm just wandering around with the hood in the "ready" position.

Nice M2 you have Martin ! I in your photo a Weston light meter V ... What is your experience with it ?

vrgard: What snap-on cap do you use for the hood ? I have only the original snap-on cap for my 12585 for usage in revesed position.

The Weston V is always in my bag
and everytime when the Leicameter MR shows strange values I check it with the Weston.
It's alos usefull to capture the light on the motiv
I won't miss it!

A separate cap wasn't included so I have non
but I use bags when I'm travelling around
I think I don't need one.
