There are about 4 of us (including Brian) here on RFF who have button-rewind M2's, but these earliest models seem to sell for LESS than the later lever-rewind cameras. Frank, my rewind button must be kept pressed while rewinding; it doesn't latch down. This camera seems to be from the 4th batch, dated 8/6/1958. My Pentax K may also have been made about that same time (intro May 58), first model with (semi)auto diaphragm.FrankS said:My rewind button is the locking type.
