I am continuing my use of the borrowed M240 before I have to return it. This morning, I decided to visit our beaches, which may be spared from being hit by Hurricane Irma. I used the recently purchased Hexanon 50mm/2.4. I have started downloading the first 20 images (DNG to JPG).

I had with me also my M8 with the Zeiss G 45/2 on it. I will upload a few images here when I have some time for it. Two sensor types used, but can anyone see any differences in a screen view?

The M8 feels very basic when compared with the M240. I am waiting for the M9 to be returned to me from Leica Camera USA so that I can start comparing it to the M240 (which most likely has to be returned at the same time).

The M240 files look much better than these posted jpg images.
The water was shining from the strong sunshine then. It looked like what you see in the posted image.

It is a jpg from Creative Stage and not from LightRoom from the MN240 to be fair to the camera. The DNG without processing would be the image file to study and not this one. Those files look very nice.
I went back and I selected the same image for a LightRoom5 transfer from DNG to jpg without me adjusting anything. I got this file:

Hexanon-X2.jpg

I am using the default settings in LR5.

It is known that the M240 gives different color rendition than the M9 or M8. When there is a lot of glare and loss of details, no LR adjusting results in an image that looks great and that maintains the original scene as it was.
