i have a set of Schneider TV-Xenons and have been pondering the feasibility of putting them to use. as far as i can tell they are m25 screw mount? as they have no focusing abilities i presume it involves a combination of depth of field and camera position to achieve a point of focus?

if any of you have knowledge of this series of lenses and care to chime in, feel free and much obliged.

attached is an example of the lens design.

Years ago I build an adapter to mount ARRI motion picture camera lenses, in ARRI standard mount, and ARRI bayonet mount, onto the Panasonic GH-1 cameras. They could be focused, and had built in apertures. Also worked with Cooke Speed Panchro lenses.

Never really explored the Schneider TV-Xenons. If they have no focus helical, you'd have to build an adapter that could be focused. Unless the lenses have some spectacular image abilities, not sure it would be worth the trouble.

These will be X-Ray lenses (for X-Ray operating theatre monitor display). Usually not worth the considerable hassle and expense of remounting to a proper barrel them for photographic use.
