M3 and modern strobes?

Hello,

Is it possible to use an M3 and modern strobe set up( with a cord I guess) to shoot studio stuff? I am thinking about buying some studio strobes for my N80 and would love to use my M3 also? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can but you will need an adaptor plug (I think DAG sell them) or lead to convert the Leica socket to PC. The only problem you may find is that, if you wear specs, with this little lot plugged into the electronic flash socket ( the one closest to the finder) you can't get your eye very close to the window. With the M2 I struggle to see the 35mm frame.

I use White Lightings with my M2 (with aforementioned adapter) for portraits, etc., and really like it. With the 90 it is particularly useful for product shots, and tight headshots. There is something reasurring about watching that flash light your subject. You don't get this with an SLR.
