I was able to unintentionally repeat the same pattern on a shot I took on a dimly lit subway platform. However, the next image on the roll was in bright contrasty sunlight. I'm leaning towards a leak occurring when I advance the film with the lens cap off. The light leak you can see on the RHS of this shot extended into the next frame as it did with the recent subway shot.
