Hi, I have got dark corners with my M3 Summicron 35. I cannot remember the apertures used, but I think it was F/4 or F/5.6. I am using an after market black vented hood. Does anybody know what the problem is and whether it can be solved? Thanks.

Check this out by positioning a piece of screen type of paper film in lieu of the normal film at closest focus and watch for these corners.
Try without the hood as well and observe the difference.
Some light white printing paper may do it.

The aftermarket hoods do vignette on 35/2.
