M42 Lens on Nikon SLR — Glassless Adapters — Experiences?

On a (Hungarian I believe) forum they mention the existence of glassless adapters that would allow usage of M42 Lens on Nikon SLRs —— allegedly *with* infinity.

Does anyone have experience with it?

I've never used one, but I wonder if the mirror would hit the back of the lens.

I have one that's glass-less...no infinity focus as you would think and limited focussing range. A 50mm lens at infinity comes into focus at about 5 feet...
