M6 & 2/35 Zm Biogon

Finally I decided to get a Biogon over a ASPH. 'Cron because I got it for 500€ in mint condition with hood etc. I didn't expect it to be as well build as the 'Cron but the image quality comes really close to the 'Cron.

Here's my actual question: why does it drive my M6's RF a bit over infinity? it's a really really tiny thing but why? it doesn't affect image quality but it drives me nuts. The RF is well adjusted (my 2/50 'Cron works perfectly). is it a (in)compatibility issue or what. The lens is new and has no marks.

just put my 35 on the m3 (damn it looks good) and there is no problem at infinity.

I think 35mm ZM is better build then cron 🙂

I didn't say that it's bad, it's a fantastic lens with outstanding quality but what about my RF? 😀

santino, i'm not technically minded enough to answer your question.
it might be just a small adjuctment on either the lens or the body and it would be fine.

I see, it isn't much off, nearly not noticeable. Once again, I didn't want to mark the Zeiss lenses as "bad", I bought one so I wouldn't think that 😀

Why don't you just take it to a service guy and have everything adjusted?

If you bought a BMW and the tires were low on air would that mean your BMW was BAD or a piece of junk?

Also, why don't you and Vladimer take some pictures with your lenses and post them online here so we can all see what your Biogons can do?

I posted a whole series of photographs I shot with the Voigtlander 35mm Color Skopar Pancake II. I'd like to see who got a better deal! I paid $285 (EU 225) for my lens.

you got the better deal.
the difference in modern optics these days is small.
it's mostly about preferences, choices and budget now more than ever.

look at the members here and the mix of brands that many have.
i have zm, leica and cv and am quite happy.

it's not big but it's not a small 35 by any means.

Vlad, the street snaps are nice, but to be fair, I've also gotten comparable results from a Stylus Epic, or T4 Zoom.

An exceptional lens will deliver negatives that can be blown up to make large prints (10x and up) and still hold together.

My P2 has given me about a dozen photos that I have blown up to 13x19.5 (33 x 49.5 cm) full frame on 16x20 paper. That's not bad for 35mm.

Just keep shooting and show us MORE MORE MORE!

also, adjusting lenses to bodies is common and inexpensive.
