M6 Batteries

I have read mention of differences in meter performance on M6s depending on the batteries used. Does anyone here have any experience of noticeably different meter performance with two 1.55 volt silver oxide button cells as compared to a 3 volt lithium battery?

I use mine with 2 PX67s - no problems at all and battery life is good.

I have only ever used lithiums in mine. Battery consumption has been excellent.

The 3V Li battery has a longer shelf life, but less electrical storage capacity. Either can be used as long as they work.

The metered area is the white area on the visible curtain when the shutter is cocked. It is hard edged large spot, 2/3 the height of the frame reguardless of lens in place

if I may be so bold to ask myself, I see a lot of a76 batteries here, those and cr2 and cr123, I know the last two dont work, but do the a76's work in the leicas?

The A76 is not a silver oxide, which is what you need to get if not going with the lithium.
