M6 battery question

Maybe someone who has both an M6 classic and an M7 can help me out. A friend has offered me a supply of M7 batteries. They are type DL 1/3 N. Can I use 1 of them instead of 2 MS76 batteries in my M6 classic? I don't want to do anything that would risk my M6 for the sake of a few batteries, but I would put them to use if they would work.

Per the manual, you can interchange one DL 1/3N (lithium) with two of the silver oxide type (SR-44). I have used both. 🙂
