M6 frame counter problem

At the end of a roll of film when fully rewound the and the bottomt plate opened the frame counter does not go to -2 or even 0 it 'zero's' on 10.... any ideas.

Mine has this issue occasionally - sometimes if I wind on, snapping a few shots then open up the back again it resets to around -2. I'd be interested to hear others' experiences with this.

I had the same problem with my Leitz-Minolta CL, after over 20 years without a CLA. A CLA fixed it.

Mine started doing this recently about three months after service; am putting up with it so far as the tech seems too busy to answer mails let alone do a quick fix. Kind of hoping it fixes itself...
