M6 non TTL viewfinder upgrade

Yes, but you're going to have to give up your other arm too!

The viewfinder upgrade simply consists of placing a condensing lens in front of the viewfinder.. nothing else.

I believe you can, but you need to provide the viewfinder yourself. That is, you can only swap viewfinders between cameras -- Leica has stopped supplying them individually.

If they are replacing it, why would I have to supply it.

I think maitrestanley's right -- the viewfinder upgrade is really just replacing a component or two. It's not a wholesale replacement. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong.

The upgrade involves a swapping of the frame mask subassembly with one that has the MP condenser. It is not really a complicated fix.

To change the magnification, you would basically be changing the whole shooting match - it is almost certainly more cost effective to sell the camera and buy one with the magnification that you prefer.

u can send your camera to solm to upgrade the viewfinder, cost is about 350 euro, as for the mag. changing, it is not possible for M6 classic.
