M6 time!(what to check/look out for?)

I will be purchasing a M6 in the coming week from a local seller. Any pointers on what to check on the camera? I have handled a m6 before, so I think I know what most of the camera should look/feel like.

Any common problems with the camera?

Concur, and caution you that you may really need to look carefully and get the light at the right (usually an oblique) angle to see this - it can be very subtle.

Check the battery compartment for leakage
Make sure the meter is on (get a gray card to compare different meters)
If it is a TTL check the flash for accuracy (harder than existing light but important).
Bring a trash roll of film and try some shots at different speeds to see if speeds are reasonable, also test rewinding develop the film if you want to see results
