I just purchased an M6 on a trip to Munich from a second hand camera store as abackup to my M7. I've looked at other M6's posted for sale but they all differ in small ways -
1. Mine has LEITZ on the red marker on the front of the camera. All other M6's I've seen Have LEICA.
2. Mine has no raised strips on the sides above the strap lugs. Other M6's have protective strips.
3. Mine has ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH in white letters on the top plate. Other M6's have a blank top plate.
4. Mine has LEICA stamped on the body cap. Others are blank.
The serial # is 1669xxx.
Are the differences on mine early variations?
Can any knowledgeable member comment?
