I am curious, if everyone belonging to this forum was in NYC and we all went to a Leica dealer, to purchase a M7, would there be a large discount? As in more then 50 people buying the same model? Or would it be the regular price? Just a hypothetical question here.

Depends if:
A. You (we) go to someplace reputable
B. Does one person buy all of the cameras, or do we all buy them independently?

regardless, my guess would be that even if they actually had 50 M7s in stock, no.

If you're serious, why don't you ask Tony Rose at Popflash about doing a bulk mail order?

I'm sure that you will get a discount at on of the shops.
Just go around and ask, barter, deal.
My guess is that for 50 you should get a 10% discount.
If it is not on the price, then it will be on extra (free) goodies
like rolls of film for example. (10% fill be a whole lot of film 😛 )

no one will have 50 on stock, and that is precisely why you should get a discount.
They order 50 at Solms and deliver once they are in.
There is no work in capital for them, no risk (if you give a downpayment), and quite a nice profit.

I'd like to give it a go, but are in the EU unfortunately..

Best Price on USA Leica M7

Best Price on USA Leica M7

ALL Leica USA dealers have the same price on M7s. $3495.00 with the USA Passport Warranty. You can buy 50 units but our agreement with Leica USA is that we cannot offer this SKU less than MSP.

Who knows what goes on in the background.

But there are better ways to skin a ------

Mark,

For one thing, you can save plenty by just ordering from Tony Rose at the aforementioned www.popflash.com.

His 'USED/MINT" M7s are very well priced. And if I understand correctly (please correct me if I'm wrong), they are basically 'like new in box' greymarket cameras.
