I own a few old Contax and Kiev rangefinder lenses, and may buy some more only if I get the adapter that let's you mount Contax rangefinder lenses on a Leica body ( with my M8 I will need a screw mount adapter in that I see that the Contax to Leica adapters are screw mount).
I see Adorama has a gold colored adapter for $211. So are these adapters any good?
There are alot of older Contax , Zeiss, FSU lenses that I would like to try out that are priced reasonably and render beautiful photos.

Amedeo's adapters are probably the best, his newer adapters are all custom made rather than adapted from old Kiev mounts. He sells on Ebay.
In general, adapters work well enough, not as smooth as having a native lens. I adapted my Contax 5cm F2 and F1.5 to LTM using Jupiter focus mounts.

+1 for Amedeo Muscelli's adapters.
Bought one recently for using old Nikon RF lenses on my M8/M9.
Beautifully made and works flawlessly. And it's not golden

My Amedeo Contax adapter is incredibly smooth--easier focusing than any native lens I own, in fact.

The Amedeo adapters are worth the extra money. I have the contax RF-M and nikon RF-M adapters and they work perfectly with my M bodies. The adapters give us a lot more lens options.
Amedeo is extremely pleasant to work with and can be contacted through this forum as well as his ebay store.
No direct relation here, just a happy customer.
