Just finished a gallery of photos from the home of my ancestors, the beautiful southern Italian village of Picinisco which I visited a couple of weeks ago.

It was my fist time, since being a DSLR owner, that I went away and left the heavy DSLR behind. It was a short trip to look at buying a house so I figured my lovely new M8 and an old M3 with a couple of lenses was more than enough.

Apart from the M8's spare battery playing up one evening (which resolved itself without problem) al worked well and I'm now tempted to leave the heavy Canon 5D at home for all holidays. How much more liberating it is just to have a couple of Ms.

It was also my first outing with the newly purchased Elmarit 28mm f2.8 which I believe will now become my standard lens for the M8.

I will do another gallery soon of the nearby ancient town of Atina, but meanwhile here is a few of the ones taken from Picinisco:

(Village profile - M8 + Elamrit 28mm f2.8)

(Scopia - M8 + Nockton 35mm f1.2)

(Lamp - M3 + Canon 50mm f1.4 + Velvia)

(Infrared - M8 + Zeiss 18mm f4 ZM + B/W pure infrared filter)
