Well, I am expecting my new Epson 3800 for my M8 soon via UPS and I have one problem. My office desk/study is on the first floor of my house, and I have a 5 year old that I want to keep away from my new printer. So what is the best option. I do not want to put it in my basement due to humidity. I am thinking placing it on my second floor and running a cable to it to the second floor. I may also keep it in my study/office, but will need to place it in an enclosure i can lock up. What are your suggestions, especially those of you who have young ones running around?

Can't you confine the kid to the basement?

A dog cage ? (For the printer, not the five year old . . .although . . . .)

Take the doorknob and lock set out and replace it with a key one for outside doors. A cheapie will do fine.
If the space doubles as a playroom, then boxing gloves should work. That or find a secure place for all valuables and breakables like cameras, computer, printer.
Really you should have been traing him all along. Probably too late to start.
