This is just like your M3 poll. What do you mean, 'satisfied'? No, it's not perfect. On the other hand, there's no alternative, and I like the images I get. Would I replace it if it were stolen, smashed, etc? Of course. As I say (at the risk of offending Epson owners), there's no alternative. (I assume you're including the M8.2)

With the output yes, quite satisfied. The interface not so much. Considering mine had SIDS (I consider under 300 actuations an infant) reliability not so satisfying.

I used the Epson R-D1s and now the M8.2 (I always go for the second make). Since I wanted to shoot with a digital - Leica - M and there is nothing else, and the camera is fully working, shooting with it is fully satisfying. Above that I feel that the pictures of the M8.2 are more crisp than those of the Epson R-D1s that I have used.

Everything has been great with my M8, and the quality is beyond what I expected. A wonderful camera.

I was too late to be able to vote on this. Just as well; I would not know what to vote.
My relationship with my M8 is complicated. It is the first camera I have ever had to send back to the factory for warranty repair. It is slow and produces some ugly jpg's out of the camera. In is not really up to it at high ISO settings. My M8 is the first digital camera I just shoot RAW with.
The strong side of the M8 is not the camera at all. it is the lenses. While my Canon 1Ds III is all too good a camera for the lenses that's available for it, it is the other way around with the M8.

This is my first camera as well I sent it for warranty repair, good pro level camera, lenses is good, Canon has good lenses too (my 50/1.2 just perfect), and possible to mount almost any lenses with adapters including Leica R.

Since other makers continue their by-standing and life being short, I purchased an M8.2 last week.
So far, it's alright. It could use exposure bracketing and the 75mm lines are annoying, but those aren't deal breakers for me.
Images to ISO 640 are usable for me which is better than 400 speed I generally use with film.
The 1.33x FOV crop is less of factor than I thought would be. Right now, I'm sticking with my 35-50-90 lens set and haven't yet found things not wide-enough. Perhaps with film, I was just standing 33% too far back, or maybe now, I'm only taking one step closer instead of two, I'm not sure yet which.

Don't worry, this is RFF, there'll be a poll soon asking if there are too many polls.
As for the M8, I'm totally happy with it. Apart from a some p&s shots and one outing for the 5D I haven't used another camera since I bought it over two and a half years ago.

Yes, it is the lenses (my new (used) Noctilux confirms this, even I am shocked by the color and 3D quality, and I am a pro, I do not see this coming out of any Nikon or Canon my pro friends have).
I did have a vertical line problem when I first had the camera, but after firmware updates, it disappeared. No problems since. Camera has worked flawlessly since, and that was 2 years ago and MANY MANY thousands of photos later!
I just hope Leica keeps the price at the M8.2 level for the M9!!!
PS: I just read the Shutterbug article on Leica's new lens designer and how and why it took him 10 years to design the new 50mm Summilux and how the japanese take a few weeks or months to design lenses. this is the "why" Leica lenses have that special "look" in the phtographic image they all form.

To mount Leica R lenes on Canon EOS cameras you have to cut the mirrow a few millimetres. Nor very practical, is it?

1) The camera is a bit loud, but I'm not doing the shutter as the higher speed comes in handy since the ISO only goes down to 160.
2) The framelines could be better, and will be once the camera is returned from the upgrade.
3) Files are wonderful. I quite like the color rendition.
4) Loads better than a dSLR for me.

For certain lenses on certain EOS bodies, yes the camera or lens needs to be modified. However most R lenses will work without any modification on EOS bodies. I used R 28, 35, 50, 180 and 250 lenses on Canon 300D, 20D and 5D without any problems.

That will be for Canon EOS bodies without 100% finder coverage.

As I've mentioned above I've used R lenses from 28-250mm on the full frame Canon 5D. That may not have a 100% finder, but then again neither do most other cameras.

I shaved my 5D mirror so I could mount a Contax 2/28 Hollywood Distagon.
It actually only took 15minutes and there is no Vignetting in the VF.
It is well worth the effort for some of the excellent legacy glass available.
If it were not for lens adaptability I would shoot Nikon for Reflex.

- Which confirms what Spoks claims, that EOS cameras with 100% viewfinder and FF can't use (without having the mirror 'shaved') the heftiest Leica R wide angle lenses. It is first of all these lenses that would be interesting to use on a EOS cameras.
That said, Canon do have two excellent wide angle lenses that performs close to what you will expect from Leica: EF 35 mm 1,4L and EF 24 mm 1,4L II.

Don't forget, the horrible forces of 'the market', Spoks. If and when a M9 arrives at the shelves I believe that the prices of 2.hand M8s will increase. Hum!
