M8 filters

I have yet to claim my pair of red filters as I was not certain which size to buy .
I am not sure how to do this and what sizes are available , I am considering a stepping ring to 49mm so I can use my other filters and cheap clip on cap on a J8 / Summitar etc .
[ who cares about appearances ! ]

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
