M8 frameline selector

I just received my M8 from RobertWhite. Is the frameline selector lever supposed to stay in the position I set it to? If not, how do I over ride the auto selection? Mine springs back into the automatically selected lines.

The framelines are set according to your lens. If you want different framelines, you have to hold the lever with your finger. So yes, the lever springs back if you change the setting by hand.

Makes your Bessa R2A seemed advanced by comparison.

On the other hand, people accustomed to the springy auto selection occasionally vent about the Bessa's lack of it. Hahaha!
