Yesterday, and as we all watched TV to see whether we would get the news that Pensacola would again be hit by a major storm, I took my girls with me to Pensacola Beach, after seeing Jim Cantore (Weather Channel Man) on TV.
I used my standard two camera - two lenses set: M8 with Nokton 50 1,5 as a short tele, and the M9 with the Kobalux 28mm/3.5 as a mild wide angle lens.
(a) M9 with Kobalux (DNG + LR5 + CS2):
Jim Cantore walked to us and offered to have Dana and Lina take a photo with him.
There was red flag in sight, meaning that people should not enter the water. There were many surfers there, though.
Hotel Margeritaville in the background.
They had three trucks with technicians and producers ... etc.
This photo was taken in the late afternoon.

Jimmy Buffet is a well known singer songwriter who had a hit song called Margeritaville. He built the Hotel Margeritaville (seen in background) after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. The M9 with the Kobalux gave very neutral natural looking colors.

It is now pouring rain, but this has been the only effect (plus wind) from Storm Karen.

Nice pics. Cantore is the consummate weather freak. Good to see him being one of the guys.
No tropical storm in northern Michigan, though it has rained off and on the past three days. It's fall color season though, so the wet leaves makes the color look more saturated.

Hello Jim,
The rain stopped eventually, and it is as if no storm ever happened here.
You have fall leaves foliage, and it must be very pretty now.

I did not use an IR filter with the Nokton. Can you detect any color shifts?

Those are great souvenir photos, Raid! I enjoyed looking at all of them. BTW, see if you can get some shots of Stephanie Abrams! (I know, she is probably not there.)

Nice shots. I did not notice any color shift due to no IR filter on the M8. I am impressed with the Nokton. I have that lens and like it too.

Great shots. Wonderful experience for your girls, which is really what it's all about.
Sometimes I get wistful for Pensacola...I went to flight school there. I wish I had time for pictures back then...
