M8 or X- PRO1

I've order a second hand and good priced X100, so i can keep with me my M8. But someone has proposed me to trade my 'cron 35 "king of bokeh" for his X-PRO1 3 months old with 35 1,8...
Doubts

If the MF isn't bullet proof then its not for me ......... I have an M8u and used properly I don't see any reason to reach for more capability. And I can use all my LTM and M mount glass.....and since I got my Amedeo adapter all my Nikon S glass. M8= a true system digital camera.

Raymond,

Fast manual focus is not bullet proof. There is a realtively simple electronic zoom function that is bullet proof. This technique is not inconvenient, but it is not as enjoyable as turning a well-made analog lens barrel.

I have many negatives that reveal my focusing skills with rangefinders, and different types of SLR finders is far from bullet proof. In fact, the evidencevshows I am unskilled.

Correct me if I am wrong, but CLAs are required on a regular basis by skilled persons to maintian bullet proof focus with any mechanical rangefinder mechanism.

I can see why "someone" offered an X-Pro-1 and 35 f/1.8 for your v4 35 Cron, but I cannot see why you would accept such an offer. Xavi, keep the great glass ...

M8 with X Pro guts

M8 with X Pro guts

I would take an M8 with the X-Pro 1 resolution, high ISO quality, and auto white balance!

Thank's guys. Lots of information here.
I think i'll keep my M8 with my 35 'cron IV version and Biogon 28, and buy a second hand X100

Good decision. That'll give you a solid RF experience--and another quality camera especially for higher ISO shooting.
