Trying to find my range
My radiologist's xrays all come out slightly purple instead of black, so I imagine he also has an M8. That or he's not leaving em in the fixer long enough.

For a second I thought I clicked on Photo.net. I guess once in a while it doesn't hurt to get silly, but here's my serious response: In my varied career over 30+ years dealing with thousands of health professionals including dentists, I have met maybe a hundred physicians and dentists who were seriously into photography, and to my eyes, quite talented. However, I have personally met only 3 dentists and 4 physicians who owned and predominantly used Leica. I'm sure there are more out there, but from my observation I would put the proportion of health professionals using Leica vs Canon/Nikon at the same proportion it is among the general population of serious amateur photographers.

M8s are not that good in close-ups and macros, so I don't understand the relationship implied on this poll. Any SLR does a better job in teeth and gums photography.

Hmm.. One of my best friends is a dentist - and a priest. Trained to be a vicar in the Church of England. Switched to dentistry when he found out about the salary...

My dentist doesn't have an M8; he has an MP that he treated himself to on his 50th b-day. He also has an M4 and a darkroom.

But yes, when it was the last visit of the series, and i was leaving, i told her "Thanks for all, i *almost* enjoyed it!" and she said, "see you in six months" 😀
Yes, she takes new patients (after this story a friend of mine who was looking for one, went immediately to subscribe), not sure though about clients from overseas...

I just happened to have a dental appointment this morning....so I checked it out.
My dentist is a pretty young woman. Photography is her hobby. She uses a Nikon DSLR.
