M8 Photos

I had fun already - make the Paris tour every time now around the time, Le Mans 24h is running.

I like the detail in your B&W dev - just the right amount of contrast - nice.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I've been coming here for just over a year (slightly longer than I've had my m8) and so I thought I'd finally get round to posting some images.

My friends seem to like these, but then they're friends and I think it's about time I got some responses from people for whom I'd never bought a beer.

So, without further ado,

@ Dirk:

Thanks again. Le Mans is such a nice place. My girl friend from way back took me there to visit her Mom and father(an ex-auto Mechanic). Stayed at their place for 2 days.

Her Father's friend drove us around with his Escargot shape Citroen 2CV(What a fun little car !). We also visited old town of Le Mans. Shamed it was such a short stay :(

@ sanename

Your second picture is wonderful. Pretty cool contrast.

Thank you Mingkookoo, I happen to come fro a family of landscape architects and when it freezes over things tend to get special.

Then again, there are also the nights when the sun stay out late and the colours start to get funky:

Collum, those IR shots are creeeeeepy.

Have you had all the IR filters taken off your camera or are you using another technique?

Are they also long exposures?

The m8 has a very week ir block filter over the sensor. (a fault to some, a feature to me)

I just put a 740nm ir filter and shoot. For this series (http://www.jcollum.com goto personal work then Glacial Seas) most were long exposures (2 sec to 30sec)

Creepy is a good reaction. Thanks!

Here's another M8 shot of mine which I find appealing. This is my favorite missed shot so far.

Pichou, I miss you. Come back... I want your expert presence.

Its like a Renaissance painting. I love it. Monet would have approved :) Have you tried printing it onto canvas?
