It's all in the photoshop. I use an old version of camera raw as well. (Cs6). The secret though lies in the tone sliders. It's very easy to see the basic controls tab and "process" with just those, but using the tone tab you can bump your shadow detail and pull back your highlights to give a more "silvery" look.
This is just what I do for taste. When I process my bw scans it's a similar procedure so I know what I'm looking for tone wise.
I purchased my first Leica, an M8, earlier this month along with a 35mm Voigtlander Color Skopar. It's been a great camera so far, and I look forward to using it further in the future! Here are a early few snaps from walking around.
